Layar is an "augmented reality app that shows you the things you can't see" - this time battlefield information.

Using Layar you will see your BattleTac army in the augmented reality and your position will be also reported to other BattleTac devices.

Just point the camera to your target to check it: The usual blue icon will be displayed over known friendly 'blue' forces. Reported position of hostile units and static locations like your HQ will be also displayed to allow easy navigation on the battlefield.

1. Install Layar

Download Layar from the app store / Android market. More install help here

2. Search for the BattleTac layer

You can use the keyword 'milsim'.

3. Set up your virtual radio

Enter the channel and security code. What is this?

4. Log in with your BattleTac user name and password

...and enjoy the augmented reality!

For more info read the documentation.

This is not a radar or a fake motion tracker. This is an information system: Only known units will be displayed so every unit (but not every player) on your side must have a BattleTac device. Please read our introduction for more info.
Layar isn't made by BattleTac, it is a general purpose 'reality browser' made by a Dutch company. It is available on Android and on the iPhone. Hopefully more platforms will be supported in the future. The augmented reality works only if you have a compass in your device (not on the iPhone 3G).
You cannot edit your icon in Layar and some other features are missing too. We recommend you to use both Layar and Web Lite with the same user.
